ARE PHONES KEEPING BULLYING ALIVE IN SCHOOLS?

SmartPhone's are keeping bullying alive.

This is the opinion of leading American experts in MIT. Schoolyard bullying has been seriously reduced since 1999. Sadly the bullies many of whom are cowards have taken to cyberbullying instead. Online bullying is the only form of bullying growing. This ain't what Steve Jobs brought the world the iPhone to do.

  • 34% of kids will experience cyberbullying as kids
  • Girls are twice as likely to be the victims of cyberbullying.
  • Victims of cyberbullying have a higher risk of depression, even compared to victims of traditional bullying face to face.
  • Children are 7 times more likely to be cyberbullied by friends than by strangers.
  • Children who are bullied are 9 times more likely to be the victim of identity fraud as well

Instagram new Threads 'Auto Status' option isn't great, here's why

Instagram is Teacher's pet in Facebook, the boss loves Instagram and lavishes praise on them publically.  Instagram is doing really well in terms of advertising and active daily users. Instagram has a billion users and hundreds of millions of active daily users. Some people have even called it, the deal of the century when Zuckerberg bought Instagram for billion dollars in 2012. That's a dollar a user, better than striking oil. 

Instagram Threads is a new feature in it's 'Close Friends' option.  The new 'Auto Status' facility is causing a stir. It tells people (close friends) 1. Where you are 2. What you are doing 3. Possibly, your mood | Note - Even when you are not using Instagram but in a passive mode. Instagram says you have to enable it, so what!
